And so i thought that SWIM-BIKE-RUN is so cool, this BIKE-KAYAK-RUN race is cooler for me. AWESOME!

Yeah, if I have a bike for racing in a tourney like this, I would love to join. Just the thought of doing this and finishing is already an achievement for me.

But I think the chances are lean now. Let me just promote this event for adrenaline-junkies like me:

After the highly successful Kayak Taal in 2010 which raised funds for mapping the remaining forest areas and watersheds for protection in the Taal Lake Basin, Pusod turned its sights on the water quality and its monitoring.

Executive Order No. 44, otherwise known as the Philippine Youth Games–Batang Pinoy, serves as the national sports competition program for children, and is envisioned to address the need for a grassroots sports program centered on values formation inherent in the practice of sports and play.

Batang Pinoy is designed in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the Leagues of Provinces, Cities, Municipalities and Barangays. The Philippine Olympic Committee and National Sports Associations, both non-government entities and internationally recognized authorities in different sports, shall run and oversee the technical management of the event.

High performing of the 2011 edition of Batang Pinoy athletes shall undergo high-level training for three (3) years in preparation for the second edition of Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China in 2014, and for other international age group competitions.

This is my fastest 21K finish and I just walked!

How would I explain that…

So I went to Iloilo (from Manila) for the Run United Iloilo 21K. I even stopped partying at 1am so I can still take a nap before the gunstart only to find out that the race was cancelled.

Oh oh…

I’m so sad… But I understand their reason, the winds are so strong it trampled everything in Iloilo Sports Complex. They say its for our own safety…

I just hope that Run United Bacolod would have a nice weather.

Dear Ilo-ilo runners, we from Unilab Activehealth and Runrio Inc. regret to inform you that today’s (Oct2) RunUnited Iloilo event is CANCELLED. This is due to the fact that the hard rainfall and strong winds pose great risk to both kids and adult runners. We have gone through tremendous lengths to prepare for this event but we have decided to prioritize the safety of the runners. Kindly await for the rescheduled event date of RunUnited Ilo-Ilo. Thank you for your understanding.
