6 Races in 2010 I Wish I Had Run
Hope this is not too late.
If you haven’t read yet, you can still check my TOP 10 Races this 2010.
After some more rewind over a glass of wine and some cheese on the New Year’s Eve I thought of some races in 2010 I WISHED (really, as in) I HAVE RUN. This is of course in no particular order.
Again, you can click the TITLES of each race to see my review/results/pictures.
1. Lactacyd Run 2010: It’s a Girl Thing!
Yes, man can join this run too. Funny right?
I’m a fan of a woman who knows what she wants and does everything in order to get ‘em. I saw this at work first hand during this race. “Women in control” of their race, tempo and heart beat. I love it when they are all pumped up, enjoying every endorphins while gasping for air as they reach the finish line.
Some friends and I were jealous and somehow wants to have our own version of this relay, “Team Man Lactacyd Run” because it is so much fun to watch. How much more if you are the runner.
Congrats again ANR Alabang for bagging the first price in the best costume category. Miss you all!
Look at their faces, that’s how F.U.N. it is!
2. Palms Country Club Fun Run: Marshall/Photographer Duties
It’s my first time to be a marshal for a race. It’s a different feeling compared to running the race itself. And I think its still better to run than to be a marshal. But doing this thing thought me some valuable lessons on organizing a race (who knows in the future, I will be organizing a race too?)
Even Korean kids joined this one. Stretch it guys!
3. Biodiversity Run 2010: Runner turned Photographer
I am already registered to run the 10K but when I learned that there’s a lot to be done in the preparations, I volunteered myself to help the organizers and take some photos for the event (was a bit sad because battery ran out at the middle of the race). Well, we (MacRunners) are co-organizer of this race spearheaded by Asean Centre for Biodiversity.
Karylle, a surprise runner. And she is blazin’ fast too!
4. Blue Water Day Spa Run: Podium Finish! Podium Finish!
Podium finish! Podium finish! Podium finish!
NO! Not me, although, I really wish I run as fast as her. I’m talking about Julia, who placed 2nd on the women’s 5K division this morning.
Julia is a member of MacRunners Sports, Inc from Los Banos, I met her and her dad Mang Ramon 3weeks ago. Looking at her running feats before I sponsored her registration through my complimentary race kit from the organizers.

5. PAU 50K Tagaytay to Nasugbu: Green-eyed from Km. 0 to 50.
I just came from a tiring (yet satisfying) Salomon X-Trail Run at Subic, headed straight to Tagaytay because we are part of the support crew for Alabang Runners who want to test their limits. At first, I’m excited but when I saw myself at the assembly I begin to get jealous to those warming up in the cold of the morning. Why? They are on the running attire while I’m wearing a jacket, pants and VFF, this is one of those times that I wish it was just a dream. I somehow regretted not signing up for this experience of a lifetime. I really can feel my legs wanting to run with those guys. But I have to control my legs and say wait, you will have your time.
At the starting line. You can click the picture to enlarge, download and make it your wallpaper.
6. Corregidor International Half Marathon: Destined to Document the ACTION!
And I thought I will not be seeing action in Corregidor because of the expensive registration fee, but…
JOURNEYingjames thinks that he is destined to see action in Corregidor Island. I was part of the group who were invited by Ivan Henares to tour The Rock. Without thinking twice, I said I’m in. So that’s the reason I came not with my “running attire” but with pen and travel journal.
I am not JourneyingJames if I cannot journey right? So I was there to take some shots like these:

What would be a nice caption for this: _______________________
You can check Corregidor International Half Marathon Pictures for more of these shots.
Btw, If you haven’t seen it yet, I have a gift for you this holiday season- a kick-ass RUNHIGH shirt that you will surely be proud to wear before or after a race.
For races this coming 2011, you can check the Running Calendar.

I wished I run in Lactacyd Run 2010 instead of joining a not that good race in MOA the same day. (In consolation, na meet ko naman C Reema Chanco, one of my fave kaya ok na rin.) My friend & team mate joined in Lactacyd Run, as I saw her pictures, she had a great time.

There are really no races that I wish I would have done last year. To be honest, until my first Half Marathon, I really did not want to do any, but after that, I was hooked. ALl about PBs now. TO be a better runner and all that other stuff. Thanks for sharing, but maybe you can hit those up this year? Esp that first one!!
