Registered and Excited to Run for the Dolphins

Nowadays a lot of fun runs are mushrooming, almost always “for a cause.” Must they all use “running” to raise funds for a cause? Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that its bad or wrong for I have supported and promoted some of them. Still I wonder “how much” really goes to the “cause.” Also of importance is the question, “what cause?

Personally speaking, I like causes that has something to do with the environment, with taking care of nature because I’m an outdoor person (di obvious sa monicker right?). I love the nature, yes I even have a post on GREEN-MINDED RUNNING. I once joined Nature Valley’s tree planting and supported Biodiversity Run.

So when I learned about the Condura Skyway Marathon, I wanted to actively participate. I got excited reading the 12 Reasons Why You Should Run the Condura Skyway Marathon.

Now, what makes me pumped up?

e-Registration at Greenbelt3, in-front of Asics store (pic from Kassy).

Not the chic KikayRunner.

It will be my 2nd Marathon and I will be experiencing for the first time running on the Skyway.

I will run for the dolphins. How about you?

I believe in Condura Skyway Marathon’s advocacy since they have been doing it for four consecutive years already: 2008 for the Tubbataha Reefs in Palawan, 2009 for the Whale Sharks in Donsol, 2010 for the Dolphins of Baclayon, Bohol and following up with 2011′s Run for the Dolphins. Plausible and worthy of everyone’s attention.

A sure Php50 of your registration fee will go directly to dolphin protection particularly on scientific research. Now that’s a “CAUSE.” So what are you waiting for, run with us, run for the dolphins this 2011. Its time to give back to FreeWilly we all love.
