On the Sidelines: 34th Milo Elims San Pablo City
Since I was late for the registration for the biggest run in Laguna, I cannot forgive myself if I will not be able to participate in this competitive eliminations done in my home province. So, I still woke up and watched the 34th Milo Eliminations San Pablo.
I was there just in time before the 21K gunstart sounded off. My endorphins are getting jealous of the runners there. I saw my running club mates- MACRUNNERS SPORTS INC and managed to send some good lucks before they went off.
- I am particularly excited on the 3K Kiddie event as 2 of my teammates will be defending there titles, Alex and Julia, both running the 3K, champions in the last year edition too! After some 11 minutes, Alex came still catching his breath and then Julia came more than a minute after Alex. They defended their titles and are hailed champions both for the 3K boys and girls divisions.
- Another teammate, Jaycel won 1st on the 5K womens’ division. Congrats on your strong finish, you are faster than me!
- We also got he 3rd and 4th place, c/o Lanie and Bing, for the 21K womens’ division. You make MacRunners proud!
- 8 men from the Team also qualified for the Milo Marathon Finals to be held in Manila come December 12.
- A Kenyan, William Kipyego (1:10:53) was the champion at 21K men’s and Mirasol Abad (1:31:41), women’s division.
This race got me thinking of really training hard. I want to qualify for the 35th Milo Marathon Finals next year! I’m getting ready, getting ready… For now, I will be in support for you guys on the Finals and then we will run together next year.
